Van der Dussen acknowledged the team’s failure to adapt quickly, especially in terms of bowling, and emphasized the need to be more proactive in their approach. He highlighted positive performances from players like Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks but admitted that overall, the team fell short.
Looking ahead to the T20 World Cup, Van der Dussen stressed the need for the team to be more aggressive in the power play, following the example set by the West Indies. He also expressed uncertainty about the bowling strategy, as various approaches were tried without success against the Windies.
South Africa will be eager to improve their performance, especially with their full squad available.
