By GOAT Box Office Day 8: Thalapathy Vijay’s Film Nets Rs 6.50 Crore as It Kicks Off Second Week
GOAT : Thalapathy Vijay’s recent collaboration with director Venkat Prabhu for the action thriller The Greatest of All Time (GOAT) has been a massive success at the box office since its release on September 5. In the past seven days, the film has grossed Rs 171.25 crore in India.
On September 12, GOAT added Rs 6.50 crore to its earnings, according to early estimates from Sacnilk, bringing its domestic total to Rs 177.75 crore by day 8.
The movie’s occupancy rates stand at 24.15 percent for Tamil, while the Hindi and Telugu versions recorded rates of 8 percent and 13.27 percent, respectively.
Reports suggest that GOAT could be Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, as he plans to shift his focus to his political career. The film has already surpassed Rs 300 crore globally, making it the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of 2024.
The star-studded cast includes Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Yogi Babu, with Trisha Krishnan making a cameo appearance. Vijay plays a dual role in the movie, portraying both a father and a son.
