“You can ask any player—such innings are rare. I would say my performance was the result of the hard work I put into practice, along with the unwavering support from my coaches and captain, even when I wasn’t scoring runs or bowling well.”
“Everything comes together at the right time, and I always had the belief that on my day, I would play an innings like this.”

“I honestly don’t even remember half of them now,” he laughed.
“But the way I used the pacers’ speed to play shots over covers and also attacked Adil Rashid felt great. I prepare for these situations in the nets and try to anticipate how I will face different bowlers in a real match,” he added.

The 24-year-old revealed that his celebration after reaching his second T20I century was dedicated to his family. He also expressed gratitude to India legend Yuvraj Singh for his guidance throughout his cricketing journey.
“My mother and sister were in the stadium today. When your family is present and you perform like this in front of them, it’s a moment of pride and joy.”

We push each other to improve, learn from one another, and celebrate each other’s success. It’s a bond that goes beyond the game, built on years of trust and shared experiences.”
He further emphasized that rather than viewing each other as competitors, they see themselves as contributors to India’s cricketing future. “When we were younger, we all had one goal in mind—to wear the Indian jersey. Now that we are here, the focus is on helping the team win and making a lasting impact. We don’t look at it as competing against each other; rather, we complement each other’s strengths to strengthen Team India as a unit.
