The makers of Basil Joseph’s highly anticipated film Pravinkoodu Shappu have officially announced its release date. Directed by debutant Sreeraj Sreenivasan, the movie will hit theaters worldwide on January 16, 2025. Actor Soubin Shahir, who plays a pivotal role in the film, shared the announcement on his Instagram handle along with a new poster. In the poster, Soubin’s character holds a playing card with the number 16, indicating the release date.
Pravinkoodu Shappu promises to be a dark comedy investigation thriller. The story follows Basil Joseph’s character, a police officer investigating a dead body found at a toddy shop. He questions 11 people who were present at the shop during the crime. The film blends humor and suspense, and the recently released trailer has heightened excitement among fans.
Sreeraj Sreenivasan, who also wrote the script, directs the project. Shyju Khalid handles cinematography, Shafique Mohammed Ali edits the film, and Vishnu Vijay composes the music. The collaboration of these talented artists has raised expectations for the movie.
