Ingredients:
- For the Vadas:
- 6 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
- 1/2 cup yogurt (whisked)
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 1/2 cup water (to soak the bread)
- For Garnishing:
- 1/4 cup tamarind chutney
- 1/4 cup green chutney
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions (optional)
- Sev (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Vadas:
- Cut the edges of the bread slices.
- Take a slice of bread and dip it quickly in water. Squeeze out the excess water by pressing it gently between your palms.
- Shape the wet bread slice into a round or oval shape. Repeat with all the slices.
- Assembling:
- Place the bread vadas on a serving plate.
- Pour the whisked yogurt over the vadas, ensuring they are well-covered.
- Sprinkle salt, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, and red chili powder over the yogurt.
- Drizzle tamarind chutney and green chutney over the top.
- Garnishing:
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, pomegranate seeds, and finely chopped onions.
- Add a sprinkle of sev for extra crunch if desired.
