Prepartion Of Chicken Sausage Sandwich:

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken sausages
  • 4 sandwich rolls or buns
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of cheese (optional, cheddar or provolone works well)
  • Mustard or mayonnaise (optional)
  • Lettuce or spinach (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Sausages:
    • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of olive oil.
    • Cook the chicken sausages according to the package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, turning them occasionally until they are browned and cooked through.
    • Remove the sausages from the skillet and set them aside.
  2. Sauté the Vegetables:
    • In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed.
    • Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic.
    • Sauté the vegetables until they are tender and slightly caramelized, about 10 minutes.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Prepare the Sandwiches:
    • Slice the sandwich rolls or buns in half and toast them lightly if desired.
    • If using cheese, place a slice of cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
    • Place a chicken sausage on top of the cheese.
  4. Assemble the Sandwiches:
    • Top the sausage with a generous amount of the sautéed vegetables.
    • Add mustard or mayonnaise if using.
    • Add a few leaves of lettuce or spinach if desired.
    • Place the top half of the roll on the sandwich.
  5. Serve:
