Chief Minister and Telangana Congress president A. Revanth Reddy has accused Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of compromising the interests of Telangana to align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government at the Centre. Revanth Reddy alleged that the BRS had made attempts to merge with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and had consistently supported the NDA in all critical decisions.

During the budget session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, Revanth Reddy remarked, “People gave their verdict after watching the performance of the BRS for 10 years.” He emphasized that the public had evaluated and responded to the BRS’s decade-long governance.
Additionally, Revanth Reddy highlighted the growing influence of the Congress party in Telangana, noting its increasing presence in various elected bodies since the state’s formation. He suggested that this upward trajectory of the Congress signifies the people’s trust in the party’s ability to address the state’s needs more effectively than the BRS.
The comments underscore the ongoing political rivalry between the BRS and the Congress in Telangana, with accusations of political opportunism and regional neglect forming the crux of the criticisms.
