During the general elections, the coalition government made several key promises, and now it is working towards implementing them in the state. The Chandrababu Naidu administration has already successfully launched schemes like increasing pensions and the free sand policy. Now, they are ready to initiate two more schemes. One of these is the much-awaited free bus travel for women in Andhra Pradesh.

It’s worth noting that the state government plans to start the Anna Canteens from August 15. On the same day, the government is also planning to launch the free bus travel scheme for women. Officials are finalizing the implementation details of this scheme. A final decision is expected to be made at the cabinet meeting on July 16. If everything goes as planned, CM Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the free bus travel scheme for women in Visakhapatnam on August 15.

Meanwhile, APSRTC officials have already studied how similar schemes are being implemented in neighboring states like Karnataka and Telangana. They have submitted related reports to the state government. The reports include details on the financial burden on the government, potential problems during implementation, and the financial measures needed. The state government is taking steps to implement this scheme on all routes across the state.
