Crafting a caste-based calculation sans majority’s sway
In Bihar, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh, the government has decided to conduct a caste census in the assembly without passing any bill or allocating funds. They noted the importance of establishing a definite framework to complete the caste census. Additionally, they mentioned that the government should place the idol of the revered Mahatma Jyotirao Phule in the assembly premises. They emphasized the urgent need for a transparent decision on conducting the caste census. They criticized the lack of transparency in the decision-making process and emphasized the need for accountability from the ministers.
The Congress party has opposed the history of opposition to the BJP. They mentioned that during the Mandal Commission era, Parliament conducted a caste census at a cost of Rs. 4500 crore, covering the entire country, but only the report was released. They accused Rahul Gandhi of avoiding talking about the BJP. Rahul Gandhi and other Congress party leaders are speaking without responsibility. Kavitha emphasized the need for clarity on whether the Gandhi family had manipulated the caste census data collected nationally in 2011. They asked whether the report on caste census has been withdrawn. They questioned whether the government had hidden the caste census details after conducting it. Despite being in power for three terms after conducting the caste census, why has the Congress government not disclosed the details? They criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s ambiguous statements. Kavitha suggested that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy should make clear statements.
