Filmmaker Dil Raju’s Wife Tejaswini Addresses Income Tax Raids on Their Properties
The Income Tax Department recently conducted raids at the residence of renowned Tollywood producer Dil Raju in Hyderabad. These raids also extended to the homes of his brother, Shirish, and his daughter, Hanshitha Reddy, as part of an ongoing investigation into possible tax evasion in the film industry.
According to a report by 123Telugu, Dil Raju’s wife, Tejaswini, addressed reporters and explained that the IT officials were conducting routine checks related to the film industry. She confirmed that bank lockers were inspected during the raids and bank account details were requested as part of the investigation. The family cooperated with officials, providing access to the lockers for verification.
The searches were carried out at multiple locations, including Dil Raju’s residence in Ujas Villas, Jubilee Hills, and his office in Banjara Hills. Reports indicate that a total of 55 teams were deployed to conduct searches across various sites linked to Dil Raju and other individuals in the industry.
These developments follow Dil Raju’s recent projects, such as Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam. While Sankranthiki Vasthunnam performed well at the box office, Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and produced with a massive budget of ₹450 crore, faced disappointing returns.
Although the specific reasons for the IT raids have not yet been disclosed, further updates from authorities are expected soon.
