By It was officially announced in September last year that director AR Murugadoss is gearing up for his next venture, which will have Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. The film, touted to be an out-and-out action entertainer, has now begun with an official pooja.
Pictures and videos from the pooja function are expected to be revealed today or on February 17, on the occasion of Sivakarthikeyan’s birthday. The latest buzz suggests that Kannada actress Rukmini Vasanth has been signed to play the female lead in the film. Earlier reports indicated that the team was in talks with actress Mrunal Thakur, but an official announcement regarding the cast and crew is anticipated soon.
Produced by Tirupati Prasad under the banner Sri Lakshmi Movies, the film is said to feature music by Anirudh Ravichander. There are also reports that the makers are in talks with Mohanlal and Vidyut Jammwal to play pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is expected to join the film’s shooting after wrapping up the final schedule of his upcoming film ‘SK21,’ directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy.
