The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2025 notification for 6th Class admissions for the 2025-26 academic year in Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country has been released. Students currently studying in 5th Class are eligible to apply. Interested students can apply until September 16, 2024. This entrance exam will be conducted to fill seats in a total of 653 schools across the country.

New Delhi, July 17: The notification for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2025 for 6th Class admissions for the 2025-26 academic year in Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country has been released. Students currently studying in 5th Class are eligible to apply. Interested students can apply until September 16, 2024. This entrance exam will be conducted to fill seats in a total of 653 schools across the country. There are a total of 24 Navodaya Vidyalayas in the two Telugu states: 9 in Telangana and 15 in Andhra Pradesh.

Students born between May 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015, are eligible. The exam will be conducted in two sessions. One session will be held on April 12, 2025 (Saturday) at 11 AM. For the remaining students, the exam will be held on January 18, 2025, at 11:30 AM. The written exam will be conducted in local languages, including Telugu, English, Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Oriya, Kannada, Bodo, Bengali, Assamese, and Punjabi.

Written Exam Pattern:
The written exam will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on the respective dates. The exam consists of 80 questions for a total of 100 marks across 3 sections. Mental Ability has 40 questions for 50 marks, Arithmetic has 20 questions for 25 marks, and the Language Test has 20 questions for 25 marks. The exam duration is 2 hours. The exam will be conducted offline, and students must mark their answers on an OMR sheet. Negative marking is applicable, with a deduction of 1.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
