Tamil actress Srushti Dange has announced her decision to step away from Prabhu Deva’s concert, citing “false promises and unfulfilled commitments” as the primary reasons behind her exit. Taking to Instagram on Thursday (February 20), Dange explained to her followers why she would not be participating in the event, also highlighting alleged issues with the event’s ‘creative team,’ which she accused of disrespect and discriminatory behavior.
In her detailed post, Dange emphasized that her departure had nothing to do with Prabhu Deva himself. She expressed her admiration for the iconic choreographer and performer, making it clear that her decision was strictly about her experience with the event’s team. She further hinted that, despite her exit, she would be open to future collaborations with Prabhu Deva, making it clear that her respect for him remained undiminished.
“To all my amazing supporters who were expecting to see me at the Prabhu Deva concert, I am deeply saddened to share that I have decided to walk out of the show. This decision is not directed at Prabhu Deva sir in any way—I have been a huge fan of his and always will be. However, I cannot stand for discrimination and bias,” she wrote. Her message conveyed the heartbreak she felt over the situation, emphasizing that it was the treatment she received from the event’s team that led to her departure.
Dange continued by detailing the disappointment she felt at being deprived of her rightful recognition and opportunities. “It truly hurts that even after being in the industry for so many years, you still have to fight for what you rightfully deserve,” she stated.
