There have been many interesting developments in Telangana government activities recently. For the past few days, CM Revanth Reddy staying away from the Secretariat has become a hot topic. Instead of conducting important reviews from the Secretariat, he has been doing so from the Police Command and Control Center, sparking political curiosity. Is the main reason for this the Vastu changes in the Secretariat? Is that why the CM is considering an alternative? Recent examples suggest this might be the case. What exactly is happening in the Telangana Secretariat?
Changes in the Telangana Secretariat a week ago
A week ago, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy decided to make changes and additions to the Telangana Secretariat. As part of this, it is being reported that the main entrance for the CM’s convoy will be changed. Henceforth, the convoy will enter through the West Gate of the Secretariat. The CM’s convoy will exit through the East Gate. However, IAS, IPS, and other officials will still enter through the East Gate. Consequently, the main gate, known as Simha Dwaram, has been closed by the authorities. Since becoming CM, Revanth has initiated changes and additions in his unique style. It is worth noting that he made changes to Gandhi Bhavan according to Vastu principles after becoming PCC president.
Reviews from the Integrated Command and Control Center
Since this news broke, several incidents have reinforced it. For the past few days, the CM has been conducting important reviews from the Integrated Command and Control Center in Banjara Hills. In line with this, important meetings and review sessions have been held either from the CM’s residence or the ICCC. Today as well, the CM conducted two reviews with ministers from the ICCC. Usually, disaster management and reviews related to rains and floods are conducted from the ICCC, but now even reviews of the agriculture and cooperation departments are being held there, adding weight to some speculations.
Along with external changes, it is reported that some internal changes are also happening in the Secretariat. Ministers and officials have always opined that the Secretariat is cramped and inconvenient. This, coupled with the difficulty of conducting reviews there, is being cited. Additionally, several changes are reportedly being made in the CM’s chamber. The current CM and ministers are using the chambers previously used by former Chief Minister KCR. Consequently, some changes are being made regarding the difficulties and Vastu issues in those chambers.
After a review meeting on Monday, the CM attended a program at Ravindra Bharathi and then returned to the ICCC to conduct a review on agriculture, instead of going to the Secretariat. This strengthens the speculation. Overall, the CM conducting reviews in places other than the Secretariat has led to new rumors. It remains to be seen how the CMO will respond and what explanation they will provide.
