Xiaomi’s highly anticipated 14 Ultra is set to be officially unveiled this Thursday in China, followed by a global launch at MWC Barcelona on February 25. Recent updates have shed light on one of the device’s most eagerly awaited features – its cameras.
In a series of teasers and camera samples, Xiaomi has confirmed several leaked specifications that have been circulating over the past few months. The primary 50MP camera is expected to boast a Sony LYT-900 sensor with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.63 to f/4.0. Xiaomi asserts that the main shooter on the 14 Ultra will offer a significant 136% increase in light intake compared to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
Accompanying the main camera, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature two telephoto shooters equipped with Sony IMX858 sensors. The first telephoto lens will offer a 75mm equivalent focal length with an f/1.8 aperture and a 3.2x optical zoom capability. The second telephoto lens will provide a 120mm focal length (5x optical zoom) paired with an f/2.5 aperture. Additionally, the device is anticipated to include a 50MP ultrawide lens featuring a 12mm focal length and a 122-degree field of view.
