Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy continued to criticize the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government, asserting that his administration is determined to expose the ‘irregularities’ committed by its predecessors and the amount of public funds allegedly ‘swindled’ by individuals close to the former leadership.
Telangana CM says his Govt committed.
To address these concerns, the Government has established a judicial commission to investigate the irregularities related to Power Purchase Agreements with the Chhattisgarh Government, as well as the Yadadri and Bhadradri power projects. Reddy mentioned that a new chairman for the commission would be announced by the evening, following the Supreme Court’s directive to replace retired judge L. Narasimha Reddy. This directive came in response to a case filed by BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who sought to have the commission disbanded.
The Chief Minister’s move to form a judicial commission underscores his commitment to transparency and accountability, aiming to hold the previous administration accountable for any financial misconduct and mismanagement of public resources. This step is expected to foster public trust in the current government by demonstrating its resolve to address past corruption and improve governance.
