Dragon Fruit Shake Recipe

Dragon fruit also known as pitaya, which is available in two varieties– one with white skin, and one with a bright magenta skin. The magenta skin is way sweeter, also in terms of nutrition its way nutritious than a white one. Dragon fruit has amazing properties as a fruit. It is rich in fiber, loaded with anti-oxidants, aids in weight loss, contains magnesium which is vital for bone density and also boosts the immune system as it is loaded with vitamin C.

Here’s a simple and healthy dragon fruit shake recipe :

Ingredients:

  • 1 large dragon fruit (pink or white variety), peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup of almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds (optional, for added fiber)
  • Ice cubes (as per your preference)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dragon Fruit: Peel and chop the dragon fruit into small pieces. If you’d like, you can also freeze the pieces for a thicker shake.
  2. Blend Ingredients: Add the chopped dragon fruit, almond milk, honey (if using), and ice cubes into a blender. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add Chia Seeds (Optional): If you want an extra fiber boost, add chia seeds and blend for a few more seconds or stir them in after blending.
  4. Serve: Pour the shake into a glass and enjoy immediately! You can garnish with extra chia seeds, a slice of dragon fruit, or mint leaves.
