Rakul graciously acknowledged the PMO’s letter, expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister. The renowned actress, Rakul Preet Singh, tied the knot with Bollywood producer Jackie Bhagnani on the 21st of this month in a grand ceremony at the ITC Grand Resort in Goa.
The wedding, attended by family, close friends, and celebrities, was marked by the presence of well-wishers who flooded social media with warm wishes and images from the celebration. The PMO’s special note added a touch of prestige to the occasion, emphasizing the significance of Rakul and Jackie’s union.
Rakul recently shared a heartwarming video encapsulating cherished moments from the mehndi and haldi ceremonies. The couple creatively designed the video to resemble a cinematic song, capturing the essence of their love story. Rakul, adorned in a light pink lehenga, danced her way into the wedding venue, while the haldi celebrations featured her in a vibrant blue lehenga. The couple, following Sikh and Sinthi traditions, had two distinct wedding ceremonies. Renowned designer Tarun Tahiliani crafted their exquisite wedding attire. Rakul looked resplendent in a pink peach lehenga complemented by matching diamond jewelry, while Jackie wore an ivory chikankari sherwani adorned with intricate chinar motifs.
Amidst numerous speculations surrounding their wedding plans, Rakul and Jackie initially considered a destination wedding in the Maldives. However, influenced by Prime Minister Modi’s emphasis on promoting domestic tourism, they opted for a beach resort in Goa as their wedding venue.
Rakul’s wedding celebration, while notably absent of Tollywood personalities, saw spirited participation from Manchu Lakshmi. The couple’s decision to change the venue demonstrated their commitment to supporting local tourism, adding a unique touch to their joyous union.
