The film’s release date has been confirmed for October 31, coinciding with Diwali 2024, and will premiere simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. Accompanied by a striking poster featuring Sivakarthikeyan, the announcement assures fans of an engaging cinematic experience from the charismatic actor. ‘Amaran’ is poised to encounter tough competition from Rajinikanth’s ‘Vettaiyan’ and Ajith’s ‘Vidaamuyarchi’ at the box office, making this Diwali a showdown to watch out for.
In his upcoming project ‘Amaran’, Sivakarthikeyan partners with director Rajkumar Periyasamy to portray the poignant life of the late Major Mukund Varadharajan, who perished during a military operation. The actor has dedicated himself to the role of an army officer, undergoing rigorous training and showcasing two distinct appearances in the film.
Sai Pallavi joins as the female lead, marking their first collaboration. Adding to the anticipation, GV Prakash Kumar, in his maiden venture with Sivakarthikeyan, is composing the music. Meanwhile, the actor is concurrently immersed in the filming of ‘SK 23’ under the direction of AR Murugadoss, presently underway in Tuticorin.
