Understanding Apple Obsolete Products
According to Apple’s support page, products are deemed obsolete once they have not been sold for over 7 years. Apple halts all hardware support for obsolete products, and service providers cannot order replacement parts for them. However, Mac laptops might qualify for an extended battery-only repair service for up to 10 years from their last sale date, depending on parts availability.
