What is Apple’s iCloud Private Relay Service?

iCloud Private Relay is a privacy feature available to iCloud+ subscribers, designed to enhance security by encrypting browsing data and routing it through two separate relay servers. One server is managed by Apple, while the other is operated by a third party.

This dual-server setup ensures that neither Apple, internet service providers, nor visited websites can access users’ true browsing information. By separating the user’s IP address from their DNS queries, the dual-relay mechanism further obscures online activity, providing an improved level of privacy.
