By The iPad Mini is finally receiving a long-awaited update. Apple has unveiled the 7th-generation iPad Mini, maintaining its iconic compact design but now equipped with the A17 Pro chip—the same processor that powered last year’s iPhone 15 Pro—optimized for “Apple Intelligence.”

The latest iPad Mini is now available for pre-order, with sales starting in stores from October 23. Pricing begins at ₹49,900 for the Wi-Fi model and ₹64,900 for the cellular variant. It comes in four color options, including the newly introduced blue and purple.

- Powerful A17 Pro Chip: The new iPad Mini is powered by the A17 Pro chip, first introduced in the iPhone 15 Pro series. According to Apple, it delivers a 30% improvement in CPU performance and 25% faster graphics compared to the previous iPad Mini. The Neural Engine is now twice as fast, enabling seamless compatibility with Apple Intelligence.
- Unchanged Exterior Design: While the internals have been upgraded, the exterior design remains similar to the 2021 model, featuring an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2266×1488 at 326 ppi.
- Cameras: The front-facing 12MP camera is still optimized for portrait mode and supports Center Stage for video calls. The rear camera also boasts 12MP with Smart HDR 4 for improved image quality.
- Enhanced Connectivity: Connectivity gets a boost with Wi-Fi 6E support and a faster USB-C port, now capable of 10Gbps data transfers. A 5G cellular model is also available for those who need mobile connectivity.
- Expanded Storage: The storage options have been expanded, with the base model now starting at 128GB and a new 512GB variant added.
