Apple’s Biggest September 2026 Launch: iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and Smarter AirPods

Apple’s Biggest September 2026 Launch: iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and Smarter AirPods

Apple is making headlines in the electronics world this September with one of its most significant product waves in years. The company has introduced the iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, AirPods 5, and new Apple Watch models, while also rolling out its next generation of Apple Intelligence and Siri AI.

The biggest change is undoubtedly the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable iPhone. Introduced on September 9, the device combines a traditional smartphone experience with a larger foldable display. When opened, the iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner display, while its compact outer display measures 5.4 inches. Apple says the foldable design is built around a precision hinge and is designed for multitasking, gaming and viewing content on a larger canvas.

The iPhone Duo is also closely connected to Apple’s AI strategy. Powered by the A20 Pro chip, the device is designed to handle demanding workloads and on-device AI. Apple says its dual Neural Engine provides significantly more compute capability for AI models, while the redesigned iOS experience allows users to interact with Siri AI while viewing content elsewhere on the display.

Alongside the foldable phone, Apple has introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. These models focus heavily on camera technology, performance, battery life and artificial intelligence. The new 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture provides additional control over photography, while new camera controls are designed to make frequently used settings easier to access. Both Pro models use Apple’s A20 Pro chip and a new thermal-management system intended to support sustained performance.

Another major part of Apple’s September story is AirPods 5. The new open-ear earbuds bring Active Noise Cancellation to the design, along with an updated acoustic architecture and Adaptive EQ. Apple says the new ANC can remove up to 50 percent more external noise compared with AirPods 4 with ANC. The higher-end AirPods 5 configuration also adds a wireless charging case and on-stem volume controls.

AirPods 5 also demonstrate how Apple is connecting its hardware with AI. When paired with a compatible iPhone, users can access Siri AI hands-free, use head gestures to respond to Siri and take advantage of Live Translation. In India, Apple lists AirPods 5 at ₹14,900, while AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case are listed at ₹17,900. Availability begins September 18.

Software is another important part of the September 2026 update. Apple has begun rolling out iOS 27 and other major platform updates, bringing the next generation of Apple Intelligence and Siri AI. Apple describes the new Siri as more conversational and capable of understanding personal context, interacting with information on screen and performing more systemwide actions.

For Apple users, these announcements show a broader shift in the company’s electronics strategy. Instead of treating phones, earbuds and software as separate products, Apple is increasingly connecting them through AI and its wider ecosystem. The iPhone Duo introduces a new form factor, the iPhone 18 Pro pushes camera and performance technology, and AirPods 5 extend AI features into everyday audio use.

With the new products beginning to reach customers this week, September 2026 is shaping up as a major month for Apple electronics. The combination of foldable hardware, upgraded cameras, new audio technology and Siri AI gives Apple’s latest lineup several different areas of innovation to watch as the devices enter the market.
