By Apple rolled out iPadOS 18.0.1 on Thursday, finally enabling M4 iPad Pro owners to upgrade to the latest operating system following an initial delay. This update, released two weeks after iPadOS 18 first launched, resolves an issue that caused some M4 iPad Pros to freeze during the installation of the original update. In response, Apple had temporarily halted the rollout for these devices to fix the problem.
iPadOS 18.0.1 is now available for all iPads compatible with iPadOS 18, including the latest M4-powered iPad Pro models. Users can install the update by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update on their iPads.

Along with enabling the update for M4 iPad Pros, iPadOS 18.0.1 brings various bug fixes and optimizations, including:
