CM Revanth Reddy On November 20, 2024, R. Krishnaiah, president of the National BC Welfare Association, called on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to urgently intervene and resolve the pending fee reimbursement issues affecting private colleges across the state.
This comes amid an ongoing indefinite strike by the Telangana Private Degree and PG Colleges Managements Association (TPDMA), with over 1,500 private colleges remaining shut for a second consecutive day.
The strike was triggered by the government’s failure to clear more than Rs 4,000 crore in pending fee reimbursement dues, which has put significant financial strain on private educational institutions.
