Al Nassr suffered a 1-3 defeat against Al Raed in their recent Saudi Pro League match in Riyadh. Karim El Berkaoui opened the scoring for Al Raed in the 18th minute, but Ayman Yahya (24′) quickly equalized for Al Nassr. However, Al Raed secured the victory in the second half with goals from Mohamed Fouzair (46′) and Amir Sayoud (87′).

Despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence, he failed to make an impact and left the pitch without scoring. Ronaldo had several close calls, hitting the woodwork twice during the match. In the 24th minute, he attempted a first-time volley from a cross by Marcelo Brozovic, which hit the woodwork and fell to Yahya for the equalizing goal. In stoppage time, Ronaldo’s free-kick from 20 yards out also hit the crossbar.

Al Nassr currently sits in second place in the league with 53 points in 23 matches, consisting of 17 wins, two draws, and four defeats. Al Hilal leads the table with 62 points in 22 games, including 20 wins and two draws. Al Nassr’s next match is against Al Ain in the second leg of their AFC Champions League quarter-final fixture, where they trail 0-1 and will be looking for a comeback in Riyadh.

Recently, Ronaldo completed a one-match ban for allegedly making an obscene gesture towards Al Shabab fans after Al Nassr’s 3-2 win. The incident occurred after the final whistle when Ronaldo was seen cupping his ear and pumping his hand forward in front of his pelvic area.
