By Devara: Part 1 Advance Bookings for Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor Starrer Surpass $500K in the US
Devara : Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva and starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, has opened advance ticket sales for its US premiere. The film’s US distributors confirmed that pre-sales have already exceeded $500,000.
The film’s team celebrated this strong beginning by tweeting: “#DEVARA RAMPAGE is painting the USA RED. Count has begun with $500K+ USA Premiere Pre-Sales and the MASS wave is unstoppable. #DevaraUSA #AllHailTheTIGER.” Theaters will release Devara on September 27, with US premieres scheduled a day earlier, on September 26. The team expects advance bookings to further increase revenue.
Janhvi Kapoor debuts in Tollywood with Devara : Part 1, playing the role of Thangam. She is also set to star in another Telugu project with director Buchi Babu Sana and actor Ram Charan. Kapoor, in an interview with PTI, shared that working in Telugu cinema feels special, as it brings her closer to her mother and roots, adding, “It felt like the right time, and I was naturally drawn to it.”
Jr NTR leads the cast in Devara, while Saif Ali Khan portrays Bhaira. The film features Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and Narain, and will release in two parts.
