By Hyderabad witnessed a flurry of excitement as actor and director Dhanush visited the city to promote his latest film, ‘Raayan.’ The film, featuring Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram alongside Dhanush, is one of the most anticipated movies from the South.
Dhanush Says Pawan Kalyan as his favorite hero :
During the pre-release event held on July 21, Dhanush expressed his admiration for renowned Telugu actors Pawan Kalyan and Jr. NTR. When questioned about his preferred Telugu actor and the prospect of starring in a multi-starrer with Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, or Allu Arjun, Dhanush briefly contemplated before choosing Jr NTR, which elicited enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
Asked to name his favorite hero, Dhanush candidly warned that his answer might be contentious but revealed his deep appreciation for Pawan Kalyan. This led to such an overwhelming reaction from the crowd that his voice, along with the host’s, was drowned out by the roaring applause. He was heard saying, “I will answer, but other fans don’t hate me. I love cinema, but I love Pawan Kalyan sir.”
A fan shared a video of this memorable moment on Twitter and wrote, “The crowd response was bonkers. The whole hall hooted for 1 minute in high pitch. You only get a few legendary moments to witness. #Dhanush.” Adding to the event’s excitement, Dhanush performed the song “Water Packet” from ‘Raayan,’ composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman.
‘Raayan‘ is set to hit theaters on July 27. The film boasts a stellar cast, including SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. Dhanush will also feature in Sekhar Kammula’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual project, ‘Kubera,’ alongside Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh.
