“Ex-CM’s future decided: Settle or pack up?”

Nallari Kiran and Nallari Kishore. One is a former Chief Minister, and the other is the TDP National General Secretary. They are brothers, but their parties are different. Former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy is contesting as the BJP candidate from the Rajampet Lok Sabha constituency, while his brother Nallari Kishore is testing his luck for the third time as the TDP candidate from the Pileru Assembly constituency.

Confidence in the Andhra Pradesh election results varies. Political parties are busy making predictions about their chances of coming to power. However, in the Chittoor district, all eyes are on the Nallari brothers. As Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy contests the Rajampet Lok Sabha seat as a BJP candidate, his brother Nallari Kishore tests his luck for the third time as the TDP candidate in the Pileru Assembly constituency.

The political rivalry between the Pedireddy and Nallari families has made the contest here more intense. Both seats are crucial because of the significant minority vote, which the YSRCP believes will not make it easy for the Nallari brothers to win. However, the opposition coalition is confident that the unity between the Nallari brothers and the anti-Pedireddy sentiment will lead to their victory.

Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy, a former Chief Minister, and his brother Nallari Kishore Kumar Reddy, TDP’s National General Secretary, are contesting from different parties. This has drawn significant attention to the two constituencies. The rivalry between the Pedireddy and Nallari families has turned this contest into a more personal feud rather than a simple political battle.

In Pileru, Pedireddy has fielded Chinthala Ramachandra Reddy against Nallari Kishore, while in Rajampet, Pedireddy’s son, sitting MP Mithun Reddy, is contesting against Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy. This has intensified the competition. The long-standing feud between the Nallari and Chinthala families has, in recent years, become a rivalry between the Nallari and Pedireddy families.

Kiran Kumar Reddy, who was the last Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, stayed away from direct politics for a decade following the state’s bifurcation. His unexpected candidacy from Rajampet as a BJP candidate against sitting MP Mithun Reddy has made this a high-stakes contest. Similarly, Nallari Kishore Kumar Reddy’s third run from Pileru has also drawn significant attention.

With nearly 50 years of political rivalry between the Nallari and Chinthala families now transformed into a feud between the Nallari and Pedireddy families, the elections have become highly contentious. Kiran Kumar Reddy’s return to direct politics and his brother Kishore’s candidacy have made these contests the center of political focus. The intense campaign, involving personal attacks and challenges, has been further heightened by the involvement of top leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu, and Pawan Kalyan.

Chandrababu Naidu has campaigned extensively across Rajampet’s constituencies to support the Nallari brothers, targeting the Pedireddy family. Both families believe that the increased voter turnout will benefit them. In the Rajampet Lok Sabha constituency, with 16,33,759 voters, 13,17,747 cast their votes. The constituency has over 2.60 lakh minority voters, whose votes have become crucial. Both YSRCP and the opposition coalition have tried to sway the minority vote in their favor. In the Pileru Assembly constituency, with 2,34,608 voters, 1,90,234 cast their votes, resulting in an 81.09% turnout. The outcome of this major battle between the Pedireddy and Nallari families remains uncertain, but expectations are high, and significant betting is underway.

After a decade away from politics, some claim Kiran Kumar Reddy is contesting to protect his assets, predicting he will leave for Hyderabad post-election. The Pedireddy family asserts that Kiran Kumar Reddy will lose and leave with his suitcase, while the Nallari family claims this election will politically bury the Pedireddy family. The voters’ verdict will ultimately answer these challenges and warnings.
