By Idli Kadai First Look: Dhanush Unveils Dual Avatars as a Family Man and Young Boy in His Directorial Venture
Dhanush, who last appeared in his directorial debut Raayan alongside SJ Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, and Kalidas Jayaram, is gearing up for a series of upcoming releases. Among these is Idli Kadai, for which he shared the first-look poster as a special New Year treat on January 1, 2025. The poster showcases Dhanush in two distinct avatars—a mature family man and a young boy standing beside veteran actor Raj Kiran. Sharing the image on Instagram, Dhanush wrote, “Idli Kadai first look, stay connected to your roots.”
Set to release on April 10, 2025, Idli Kadai is a feel-good family drama starring Dhanush and National Award-winning actress Nithya Menen, reuniting after their hit romantic comedy Thiruchitrambalam. The film also features Raj Kiran, Shalini Pandey, Arun Vijay, and more in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Dhanush will headline another of his directorial ventures, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK), a coming-of-age romantic drama slated for release on February 7, 2025. The film stars Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, and Rabiya Khatoon.
Apart from his directorial projects, Dhanush will also play the lead role in Sekhar Kammula’s Kubera alongside Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna. Fans can look forward to seeing Dhanush in a variety of roles across genres in the coming year.
