Irumudi Box Office: Ravi Teja’s Film Continues Strong Run as Ramba Oorvasi Menaka Brings Back Comedy

Irumudi box office collection continues to remain one of the biggest talking points in Telugu cinema, with Ravi Teja’s action drama maintaining a strong theatrical run even in its third week. The film has now crossed the ₹225 crore worldwide gross mark, according to the latest trade reports, making it one of the notable Telugu successes of 2026. At the same time, Allari Naresh has returned to his popular comedy zone with Ramba Oorvasi Menaka, which arrived in theatres on September 4.

The two films represent completely different sides of Telugu cinema. While Irumudi is benefiting from strong audience support and sustained theatrical momentum, Ramba Oorvasi Menaka is attempting to bring back the comedy formula that made Allari Naresh a familiar name among Telugu audiences.

Irumudi crosses a major worldwide milestone

Ravi Teja’s Irumudi has continued its impressive theatrical journey well beyond its opening phase.

According to the latest figures, the film collected around ₹1.60 crore net in India on Day 21, taking its worldwide gross to approximately ₹225 crore. The film has remained in theatres into its third week, although daily collections have naturally started to decline compared with its strong first two weeks.

The film had already established a strong foundation during its first week, collecting around ₹92.15 crore in India net. Its second week added another ₹57.60 crore, demonstrating that the film was able to hold audience attention beyond the initial weekend.

That kind of sustained performance is particularly significant because Irumudi entered theatres amid strong competition and still managed to maintain impressive occupancy across its run.

Ravi Teja gets a strong theatrical comeback

Irumudi has turned into an important film for Ravi Teja after a period where some of his recent releases struggled to meet expectations.

The film has helped the actor reconnect with audiences through a story that combines family emotions, action and spiritual elements.

Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the movie revolves around a father with a troubled and violent past who chooses a quieter life with his daughter. When she asks him to undertake Ayyappa Deeksha, he begins a spiritual journey that eventually brings elements of his past back into his life.

This emotional core appears to have played an important role in connecting the movie with audiences.

Third week shows a natural slowdown

While Irumudi is still performing strongly overall, its daily collections have started to decline as it enters the third week.

On Day 20, the film reportedly earned around ₹1.90 crore net in India, a 15.6% drop from the previous day’s ₹2.25 crore. Its India net total reached approximately ₹172.85 crore, while the India gross stood at around ₹200.85 crore. Overseas collections were estimated at ₹22.25 crore, taking the worldwide gross to ₹223.10 crore at that point.

The latest Day 21 update pushed the worldwide total further to around ₹225 crore.

So, although the film’s pace is slowing, its overall theatrical run remains highly impressive.

Telugu states remain the film’s biggest strength

The Telugu market has played a major role in Irumudi‘s success.

Trade reports indicate that the Telugu version continues to dominate the film’s earnings, with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributing a major share of its domestic performance. The movie crossed the ₹150 crore India-net milestone during its third Friday, highlighting the strength of its theatrical run.

The film’s ability to sustain footfalls after two weeks has also helped it remain competitive against newer releases.

Allari Naresh returns to comedy

While Irumudi continues its box-office journey, Allari Naresh has returned to the genre that made him popular with Ramba Oorvasi Menaka.

The fantasy-comedy is directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada and features Allari Naresh alongside Surbhi, Rashi Singh, Vishnu Priya Bhimeneni, Prisha Singh and Vennela Kishore.

The film was released on September 4, 2026, and combines comedy with fantasy elements. Its story revolves around a cosmic mistake that creates chaos between heaven and earth, placing an ordinary man in the middle of an unusual situation.

The concept gives Allari Naresh an opportunity to return to the comedy space that was once his biggest strength.

Ramba Oorvasi Menaka receives mixed response

Despite the expectations surrounding Allari Naresh’s return to comedy, the initial response has been mixed.

A recent review from The Times of India described the movie as a fantasy comedy with an interesting premise but felt that the execution and predictable writing weakened the overall impact.

Telugu360 also reported that the film struggled to live up to expectations, describing the content as outdated despite a slight improvement in Sunday collections.

This suggests that simply returning to a familiar genre may not be enough. Audiences are now expecting stronger writing and fresher comedy concepts.

The opening numbers tell a different story

The early box-office figures for Ramba Oorvasi Menaka have also been modest.

According to Filmibeat’s reported figures, the movie opened with approximately ₹0.75 crore on Day 1, followed by ₹0.73 crore on Day 2 and ₹0.95 crore on Day 3, taking the reported total to around ₹2.43 crore.

These numbers are considerably smaller than the scale of Irumudi‘s theatrical performance.

However, the movie is positioned differently and has a smaller commercial canvas. Its long-term performance will depend on whether word-of-mouth improves after the opening weekend.

Two different stories at the box office

The contrasting performances of Irumudi and Ramba Oorvasi Menaka highlight how unpredictable the Telugu box office can be.

Irumudi has managed to build momentum week after week, while Ramba Oorvasi Menaka entered theatres with the advantage of Allari Naresh returning to a familiar genre but has faced criticism over its execution.

For Ravi Teja, Irumudi represents a strong theatrical comeback. For Allari Naresh, Ramba Oorvasi Menaka represents an attempt to reconnect with the comedy audience that supported many of his earlier films.

Final verdict

The latest Irumudi box office collection figures show that Ravi Teja’s film has gone far beyond the ₹70 crore milestone that was being discussed earlier. With the worldwide gross now around ₹225 crore, the film has established itself as one of the stronger Telugu performers of 2026.

Meanwhile, Ramba Oorvasi Menaka has brought Allari Naresh back to comedy but is facing a tougher theatrical journey due to mixed reviews and modest early collections.

The two films therefore tell very different box-office stories.

Irumudi is still running on strong audience momentum, while Ramba Oorvasi Menaka is looking for the word-of-mouth boost that could improve its theatrical prospects.

For Ravi Teja, the numbers mark a major win. For Allari Naresh, the latest release could be the beginning of another attempt to revive his comedy image — but audiences may be asking for a fresher formula this time.
