Behind the Scenes of Jinn: A Glimpse into the Film’s Making

On Set: Mugen and Bhavya Unite for a Fantasy Entertainer

During an exclusive visit to the Jinn set, we saw the team filming a family scene with Mugen Rao and Bhavya Trikha. Director TR Bala, who worked as an assistant director on Vijay’s Jilla and Velayudham, shared his thoughts. He said, “We crafted Jinn as an engaging love story with suspense, thrill, and humor. The story is based on real-life events. The Jinn’s character will captivate audiences.”

He added, “It has been unforgettable working with young talents like Mugen Rao, Bhavya Trikha, and Bala Saravanan. It’s been great to work with seasoned performers like Radha Ravi, Vadivukkarasi, and Nizhalgal Ravi. The cast’s chemistry made this journey special.”

Bhavya Trikha spoke about her role. “I’m a reflection of my character Priya—sweet, caring, and bubbly. Though Priya is a common name, I will portray her uniquely. Working with such talented artistes has been exciting.”

Mugen Rao shared his excitement about the script. “The script inspired and intrigued me. I wanted to know more about the story. Many people might think Jinn refers to a drink or ghost, but it’s a family-oriented film. I had fun working with senior artistes.”

Vinodhini, who plays Mugen Rao’s elder sister, explained, “The story is about discovering what the Jinn is, what it does, and where it comes from.”

Vadivukkarasi expressed her joy at joining the film. “When the director narrated the script, I was thrilled. I portray the hero’s grandmother in a comedic way, not the typical strict or emotional role.”
