By Jr NTR Celebrates MAD Square’s Success, Applauds Brother-in-Law Narne Nithin and the Entire Cast for Stellar Performances
MAD Square, the latest comedy entertainer, has turned out to be a roaring success at the box office. Garnering both critical praise and audience appreciation, the film has quickly established itself as a major hit. To celebrate this achievement, the makers hosted a grand success meet in Hyderabad on April 4, 2025. The evening was made extra special by the presence of RRR star Jr NTR, who attended the celebration as the chief guest.
Jr NTR’s appearance electrified the event, and he had nothing but admiration for the cast and crew of MAD Square. He especially praised his brother-in-law, Narne Nithin, who plays one of the leading roles in the film. During his heartfelt speech, Jr NTR opened up about Nithin’s personal and professional journey, sharing a touching anecdote from their early days as family.
The actor recalled how Nithin, after marrying his sister in 2011, was initially very reserved and hesitant to talk to him. “He was always nervous around me. If I entered a room, he would quietly leave. I was the one trying to initiate conversations,” Jr NTR said with a smile. He went on to recount a key moment that revealed Nithin’s aspirations. “One day, the only thing he dared to say to me was, ‘I want to be an actor.’ And I replied boldly, ‘You won’t have my support. Go figure it out on your own.’”
This response, though firm, came from a place of belief in independence and self-growth. Jr NTR emphasized that he wanted Nithin to find his own way in the industry, to work hard and earn his place through merit. Speaking at the event, he acknowledged how much Nithin has evolved, both personally and professionally.
“Deep down, of course, I was worried. But I believe everyone should have the freedom to chart their own course. Watching Nithin reach this point, through sheer dedication and by associating with talented directors and producers, fills me with immense pride,” said the Devara actor. He added that MAD Square marks an important milestone in Nithin’s career and predicted a bright future ahead for him.
Jr NTR didn’t stop there. He also took the opportunity to appreciate the film’s other lead actors — Sangeeth Shobhan and Ram Nitin. He fondly remembered Sangeeth’s father, the late filmmaker Sobhan, and said that he would have been proud of both his sons, Sangeeth and Santhosh Shobhan, for carrying forward his cinematic legacy with dignity and talent.
Turning to Ram Nitin’s performance, Jr NTR shared that he saw a reflection of his younger self in the actor. “Watching Ram Nitin in MAD Square reminded me of my early days in the industry. There’s an energy and honesty in his performance that struck a chord with me,” he said.
He also praised director Kalyan Shankar, who has now delivered two back-to-back hits with MAD and its sequel MAD Square.
