‘Max’ Box Office Day 5: Kichcha Sudeep’s Film Crosses Rs 27 Crore Mark
Despite having less hype, the Kichcha Sudeep starrer Max is performing well at the box office. According to Sacnilk reports, the action thriller has earned Rs 27.50 crores in India over five days. On the fifth day, early estimates suggest it made Rs 5.50 crore.
The film debuted with a strong Rs 8.7 crore on opening day, followed by collections of Rs 3.85 crore, Rs 4.7 crore, Rs 4.75 crore, and Rs 5.50 crore. While the overall collections remain steady, the significant drop from day one to day two raises concerns. This dip could indicate that some viewers were not fully satisfied with the film. However, on the positive side, the movie has regained momentum in the subsequent days.
On the fifth day, Max achieved a 56.09 percent occupancy in Kannada, with varying attendance throughout the day. Morning shows saw 29.71 percent occupancy, afternoon shows were at 69.51 percent, evening shows at 76.60 percent, and night shows at 48.54 percent.
In its review, ETimes praised the film’s technical aspects, particularly its striking visuals in the final scenes. Set mostly in limited locations, the film unfolds over a single night, and director Vijay Karthikeya delivers a tight script that maintains suspense. The first half may feel a bit slow but keeps the audience engaged with its well-paced narration. The second half showcases Sudeep’s acting prowess as the “demon” character. Music composer Ajaneesh Loknath’s soundtrack is another highlight, enhancing the action sequences. While the Kannada dubbing might seem off due to the film’s wide South Indian cast, the gripping screenplay and Sudeep’s charismatic performance make up for this. The dialogues could have been sharper, but overall, it’s an engaging action film.
