By Pawan Kalyan Says Cinema Is His Only Income, Will Continue Acting as Long as Financially Necessary
Tollywood star and Andhra Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, has once again emphasized his commitment to both his political and acting careers. In a recent conversation, he expressed his deep-rooted desire to serve the public while also acknowledging that he will continue acting as long as financial necessities demand it.
Despite his growing responsibilities in politics, Pawan Kalyan remains dedicated to completing his ongoing and upcoming film projects. Addressing the challenges of managing both professions, he revealed, “I took a lot of inspiration from Henry David Thoreau, yogis, and siddhars. Their philosophy of selfless service influenced me. My goal has always been to work for the people. I never amassed wealth, nor did I establish any business ventures, including film production. My only source of income is cinema. Since I have already made commitments in the industry, it is my responsibility to fulfill them,” he shared in an interview with Thanthi TV.
When asked about criticisms labeling him as a ‘part-time actor’ or ‘part-time politician,’ he defended his dual roles by citing other politicians who successfully balance businesses alongside their political responsibilities. He explained, “You have to be equally passionate about acting and political leadership for both to work effectively. Even during my acting career, I was keen on learning about governance and studying public policy, which I have been doing since the mid-90s. As long as I require financial support, I will continue acting, but without compromising my administrative and political commitments.”
