For a considerable duration, Vicky Kaushal has been sharing glimpses of his intense workout routines on his Instagram, showcasing his dedication to fitness. Recent revelations suggest that these strenuous workout sessions are part of Vicky’s preparation for his role in “Chhava,” where he plays the character of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
An exclusive source informed ETimes that Vicky Kaushal’s extensive gym sessions are at the behest of the film’s director, who has tasked him with gaining significant muscle mass for the role. The source disclosed that Vicky is aiming to surpass 100 kilos from his initial weight of 75 kilos, adding nearly 25 kilos of muscle to accurately portray the strength and physique of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The character is renowned for his exceptional strength, including tales of battling and killing a tiger.
To achieve this remarkable transformation, Vicky has enlisted the expertise of fitness professionals Kris Gethin, known for training Hrithik Roshan and John Abraham, and Tejas Lalwani, who has trained actors like Dhanush and Sunny Kaushal. Vicky has already made significant progress in reaching the required weight for the upcoming schedule in March and is expected to attain his target weight by the September schedule.
Following “Chhava,” Vicky Kaushal is set to collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for “Love And War,” featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. His recent release, “Sam Bahadur,” garnered both critical acclaim and box office success.
