Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran Triumphs with ₹210 Crores in 28 Days

‘Amaran’ Box Office Day 28: Sivakarthikeyan’s War Drama Surpasses ₹210 Crores

While Suriya’s highly anticipated period action drama Kanguva struggles to cross ₹70 crores, Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran has already amassed ₹210 crores in just 28 days.

According to Sacnilk, Amaran has collected ₹210.75 crores from India, with early estimates suggesting it earned ₹1 crore on day 28. Although a downward trend is evident in its daily earnings, the film has successfully met most of its financial targets within its first 28 days.

On November 27, Amaran recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 15.33%, with morning shows at 12.12%, afternoon shows at 15.27%, evening shows at 16.89%, and night shows at 17.04%.
In the Telugu regions, it achieved an overall occupancy of 13.94%, with morning shows at 11.55%, afternoon shows at 16.02%, evening shows at 12.34%, and night shows at 15.84%.

ETimes awarded Amaran 3.5 out of 5 stars, praising its storytelling. The review states, “Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the film spans multiple phases of Mukund’s life—from his time as a student at Madras Christian College aspiring for a military career, to his training at the Officers Training Academy, and his rise through the ranks in the Indian Army. Tamil mainstream cinema often portrays its heroes as invincible, regardless of the challenges they face. In some ways, audiences have come to expect protagonists to triumph against all odds without sustaining any lasting harm.”
