Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni recently announced that his son, Akhil Akkineni, has gotten engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Zainab Ravdjee. Amala Akkineni, Akhil’s mother, confirmed the news by sharing pictures of the couple on social media. The engagement took place on November 26 during an intimate ceremony.
Zainab Ravdjee, the daughter of industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee, was born in Hyderabad and has built a successful career as a painter in Mumbai. She has spent years honing her craft in India, Dubai, and London. Zainab also appeared in the MF Hussain-directed film Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities, playing Naghma’s friend alongside actors Tabu and Kunal Kapoor.
In addition to painting, Zainab runs a blog called Once Upon The Skin and creates perfumes. Reports indicate that Akhil and Zainab have been dating for two years. The couple plans to marry in 2025.
Akhil had previously been engaged to businesswoman and designer Shriya Bhupal in 2017, but they parted ways. Meanwhile, Akhil’s brother, Naga Chaitanya, will marry actress Sobhita Dhulipala. The couple, who got engaged in August, plan to wed on December 4.
