Preparation of Chocolate Frozen Yogurt :


  • 2 cups plain yogurt (Greek yogurt works well for a creamier texture)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings: chocolate chips, chopped nuts, fresh fruit


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, unsweetened cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined and smooth.
  2. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.
  3. Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a frozen yogurt consistency. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can pour the mixture into a shallow dish and freeze it, stirring every 30 minutes until it’s firm but still scoopable.
  4. Once the frozen yogurt reaches the desired consistency, transfer it to a freezer-safe container and freeze for an additional 1-2 hours to firm up.
  5. Serve the chocolate frozen yogurt in bowls or cones and garnish with your favorite toppings, such as chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or fresh fruit.
