Mumbai Indians sign U-19 star Kwena Maphaka..

Mumbai Indians have secured the services of U-19 star Kwena Maphaka as a replacement for the injured Dilshan Madushanka.

Maphaka, 17-year-old left-arm fast bowler , earned the Player of the Tournament title at the recent Under-19 World Cup in South Africa. His 21 wickets in the tournament set a new record for the most wickets taken by a pace bowler in a single edition of the U19 World Cup. He will be joining the five-time IPL champions at his base price of INR 50 lakh.

Coming from the same school U-19 star Kwena Maphaka, St. Stithians, as fellow South African Kagiso Rabada, Maphaka made it into the U-19 team at just 15 years old and has already participated in two junior World Cups. Additionally, he has represented South Africa ‘A’ and Emerging Teams.

Gujarat Titans have signed Sandeep Warrier as a replacement for the injured Mohd. Shami, who recently underwent surgery for a right heel injury and is currently in recovery. Warrier, who joins GT at his base price of INR 50 lakh, has previously played five IPL matches.
