Pushpa 2: The Record-Breaking Sequel Arrives December 5

Producer Jayantilal Gada reveals that Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 secured the highest-ever price for its television rights.

Pushpa 2: The Rule, the highly anticipated sequel to Allu Arjun’s blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, will hit theaters on December 5. Sukumar directs this film, which ranks among the most expensive Indian productions with a budget of ₹500 crore. The movie has already broken records for its television and digital rights deals.

Pen Studios, led by Jayantilal Gada, acquired the television rights for Pushpa 2: The Rule. Gada called this acquisition the studio’s “biggest purchase in India” so far, surpassing high-budget Bollywood films. However, he did not reveal the exact amount.

Netflix bought the digital rights for ₹275 crore, according to Sacnilk, marking another significant achievement for the film.

The filmmakers unveiled the official trailer on November 17 at a grand event in Patna. The sequel brings back Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, with Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Rao Ramesh playing supporting roles. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music, and Sreeleela will perform a special dance number with Allu Arjun.

The makers initially planned the release for December 6 but decided to advance it to December 5 for undisclosed reasons. Fans eagerly await this exciting new chapter in the Pushpa saga.
