Here simple recipe to make it:

Ingredients (Serves 3-4):

For the Chicken:

  • 500g chicken breast or thighs (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Oil, for frying

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or white vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry for thickening)

For Garnish:

  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 2-3 green onions (chopped)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, egg, water, salt, and pepper. Mix into a thick batter.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the batter and coat well.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan or wok over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken in batches until golden and crispy (about 5–6 minutes per batch). Remove and drain on paper towels.

Step 2: Make the Sauce:

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, ketchup, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Pour in the sauce mixture and bring it to a simmer.
  3. Add the cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens slightly (1–2 minutes).

Step 3: Combine:

  1. Add the fried chicken to the skillet and toss until each piece is evenly coated with the sauce.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve:

  1. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top.
  2. Serve hot over steamed rice or alongside stir-fried vegetables.

Tips:

  • For extra crispy chicken, fry it twice: do a quick fry first, then fry again for 1–2 minutes before adding to the sauce.
  • Adjust sweetness or tanginess by modifying honey or vinegar quantities.
  • Use toasted sesame seeds for a richer nutty flavor.
