Both projects created waves in the Indian OTT landscape, with ‘Farzi’ becoming the highest-viewed web show in India, and ‘Bloody Daddy’ earning the distinction of the highest-viewed OTT film.
As ‘Farzi’ approaches its one-year anniversary since release, speculations about a second installment have been rife, especially considering the cliffhanger ending. Addressing the anticipation, Shahid Kapoor shared an update during an interaction with fans while promoting his upcoming film, ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya.‘ In response to a fan expressing eagerness for ‘Farzi’ Season 2, Shahid, in true ‘Farzi’ style, humorously replied, “ART banana mein time lagta hai kachra jaldi ban jata hai.”
‘Farzi’ featured a stellar cast, including Rashii Khanna, Vijay Sethupati, Kay Kay Menon, and Bhuvan Arora. Interestingly, Raj and DK had initially approached Shahid for ‘Farzi’ about a decade ago when it was conceived as a film. Although discussions didn’t materialize at that time, Shahid revisited the idea years later, suggesting the project be reconsidered as a web show, leading to its successful OTT debut.
