The highly anticipated Telugu film Mazaka, directed by Thrinadha Rao Nakkina and starring Sundeep Kishen and Ritu Varma in lead roles, has had its release date postponed. Initially scheduled to hit theaters on February 21, the film will now be released on February 26, as officially announced by the filmmakers on Friday.
Sundeep Kishen, along with other members of the film’s team, shared the news via Instagram. Expressing excitement for the film’s upcoming release, he wrote, “MahaShivarathri Ki #Mazaka. With the blessings of Lord Shiva, promising you a blockbuster entertainer…” The announcement was accompanied by a brand-new poster featuring the revised release date.
Mazaka is a romantic comedy entertainer that promises to bring humor and engaging storytelling to the big screen. The film’s storyline revolves around Sundeep Kishen’s character and his father, played by the veteran actor Rao Ramesh. Interestingly, the teaser released earlier by the makers revealed that Rao Ramesh portrays a humorous character—a hopeless romantic and a flirt despite having a grown-up son. The teaser set the tone for the film, offering glimpses of lighthearted comedy and family drama, ensuring plenty of laughs for audiences.
In the lead-up to the film’s release, the makers also unveiled The Bachelors Anthem 2025, a special track from the movie. The song, composed by music director Leon James, was released despite an unfortunate personal tragedy in his life. The composer lost his father just a day before the scheduled song launch but remained committed to delivering the track on time, demonstrating immense professionalism and dedication.
Directed by Thrinadha Rao Nakkina, Mazaka is backed by producers Razesh Danda and Umesh K R Bansal. The film features a stellar ensemble cast, including Ritu Varma, Rao Ramesh, Anshu, Murali Sharma, Srinivas Reddy, Hyper Aadi, Raghu Babu, Ajay, and Chammak Chandra, among others.
