Sunny Deol’s ‘Jaat’ Set for April 2025

Sunny Deol Breaks Silence on Prabhas Rumours: “I’ll Announce When It’s Time”

Veteran Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is all set to return to the big screen with his upcoming action-packed thriller Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on April 10, 2025, and promises to deliver a high-octane cinematic experience. Known for his powerful screen presence and iconic action roles, Sunny Deol is expected to bring his trademark intensity to the role, much to the excitement of his fans.

Recently, Sunny Deol made headlines when he was visited on the sets of Jaat by none other than Rebel Star Prabhas. A photo of the two actors posing together quickly made the rounds on social media, fueling speculation about a potential collaboration between the two stars. The image, which was shared by director Gopichand Malineni himself, sparked numerous rumors suggesting that Sunny might be a part of Prabhas’ upcoming period drama Fauji, which is being helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi.

However, in a recent interaction with fans, Sunny Deol addressed these speculations during a chat with Pinkvilla. The Gadar actor was quick to clarify the situation, humorously brushing aside the rumors. He stated that he doesn’t prefer to speak about upcoming projects until things are official. “See, if I am doing something, I will announce it when the time is right. If I’m not doing something, then there’s nothing I can do about it. People say various things about me and create buzz like I’m doing this or that,” Sunny remarked.

The veteran actor’s candid response reflects his longstanding approach to media speculation—letting his work speak for itself. While the image with Prabhas did intensify fan interest, Sunny reiterated that he is currently focused solely on Jaat, and is not involved in any other announced collaborations at this time.

Coming back to Jaat, the movie unfolds in a coastal village plagued by the tyranny of a ruthless criminal named Ranatunga. Sunny Deol portrays the lead role of a bold and fearless man who arrives in the village and takes a stand against oppression. His character’s journey is that of a protector who rallies the locals and challenges the criminal forces threatening their lives. The premise sets the stage for an intense drama filled with action, emotion, and social themes that resonate with Sunny’s legacy of portraying larger-than-life heroes.

The film boasts a strong supporting cast, with Randeep Hooda taking on the role of the antagonist, Ranatunga. Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, Zarina Wahab, and Bandhavi Sridhar are also part of the ensemble, playing pivotal characters that contribute to the depth of the story. The action sequences are choreographed by renowned stunt director Anal Arasu, promising gritty and realistic combat scenes. Adding to the film’s appeal is its soundtrack, composed by Thaman S., whose work is expected to heighten the emotional and dramatic tones of the movie.

Meanwhile, Prabhas continues to stay busy with an array of high-profile projects. Apart from Fauji, he is also working on The Raja Saab, a horror-romantic film directed by Maruthi. Originally slated for release on April 10, 2025, the same day as Jaat, The Raja Saab has been postponed due to delays in post-production. Despite the shift, anticipation for Prabhas’ upcoming films remains high, with fans eagerly waiting for updates.

As speculation about future collaborations between stars like Sunny Deol and Prabhas continues, the immediate focus remains on Jaat, which promises to be a gripping tale of justice and rebellion. With a compelling story, a strong cast, and high-octane action, Sunny Deol’s return to action cinema is one that fans are eagerly awaiting.
