By “DQ 40: Is Dulquer Salmaan Collaborating with the Makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ for His Next?”
After the remarkable success of Lucky Baskhar, fans of Mollywood star Dulquer Salmaan eagerly await his upcoming projects. Reports suggest that the actor will team up with the makers of Sita Ramam for his next venture, with RDX fame Nahas Hidayath directing the film.
OTT Play reports that Dulquer’s highly anticipated, yet-to-be-titled film will feature production from his own banner and a leading Telugu production house known for blockbusters like Kalki 2898 AD, Sita Ramam, and Mahanati. This fantasy action entertainer will mark Dulquer’s 40th project. SJ Suryah will reportedly make his Malayalam debut as the antagonist, while Antony Varghese Pepe, the lead actor from Nahas’ debut film RDX, will play a pivotal role.
Dulquer confirmed his collaboration with Nahas Hidayath during the promotional event for Lucky Baskhar in Kerala. He also announced plans to work with Soubin Shahir and a debutant director for two additional Malayalam projects.
Meanwhile, audiences can now stream Lucky Baskhar on OTT platforms. Venky Atluri directed the thriller-drama, earning praise for its tightly written screenplay and Dulquer’s compelling portrayal of Baskhar. ETimes described his performance as “simple, balanced, and profoundly effective,” highlighting his ability to bring authenticity to the character. Meenakshi Chaudhary also impressed with her portrayal of Sumathi, adding emotional depth to the film.
