KKR’s dominant all-round display leads to DC’s submission

KKR’S dominated Delhi Capitals, securing a seven-wicket win at Eden Gardens. KKR restricted DC to 153 for 9 and chased down the total with 21 balls to spare, consolidating their second spot on the points table.

The middle overs were crucial. KKR struggled in the middle overs with the bat but made up for it by denting DC hard with the ball, setting the stage for their victory.

DC had a strong start in the powerplay, scoring 67/3. Prithvi Shaw provided a quick start, but KKR struck back with quick wickets. Despite breezy innings from Fraser-McGurk and Porel, DC couldn’t maintain the momentum.

In the middle overs, Chakravarthy’s triple strike left DC struggling at 45/5. Pant tried to steady the innings, but DC’s aggressive approach backfired. Wickets fell at regular intervals, putting DC on the back foot.

KKR’S win against DC

In the death overs, Kuldeep Yadav fought till the end, scoring 35* and adding valuable runs with Rasikh Salam. However, KKR’s bowlers, except for Mitchell Starc, contained DC well.

KKR’s powerplay was explosive, scoring 79/0. Phil Salt led the charge, smashing the bowlers. Despite losing wickets in the middle overs, Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer controlled the chase.

In the end, KKR chased down the target comfortably, winning by seven wickets. Phil Salt’s 68 and Varun Chakravarthy’s 3-16 were instrumental in KKR’s victory.
