By Working with Vijay Sir is a Dream Come True: Teejay on #Thalapathy69
Actor-musician Teejay Arunasalam, who was last seen in Pathu Thala (2023), has an exciting lineup of projects in 2025. One of the highlights is #Thalapathy69, where Teejay is paired with Mamitha Baiju. He expressed immense excitement about working with Vijay, sharing that it’s a dream come true to collaborate with someone he has admired since childhood. “It’s Vijay sir’s last film, so who would say no to this opportunity?” he said, adding that his respect for the actor continues to grow.
In addition to his acting career, Teejay is set to make a musical comeback in 2025 with an eight-track EP titled Promise. He’s eager to return to the music scene after a hiatus, marking this project as a significant step in his musical journey. Furthermore, he will debut as a music director with Irul Konda Vaanam, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual produced by Vijay sir. Teejay is also starring in the film and composed two songs during the filming process. “Vijay sir has been incredibly supportive,” Teejay shared, recalling how Vijay understood his decision when he initially couldn’t connect with the role offered to him.
Teejay’s film slate also includes Bad Girl, produced by Vetri Maaran and directed by Varsha Bharath. He was quick to accept the offer when Vetri Maaran approached him for the project. “The set had many women technicians and artists, which was a new and empowering experience for me,” he said.
Additionally, Teejay is starring in Usurae, based on a real-life incident in Chittoor, and his first web series, Free Love, a modern romance addressing the struggles of today’s youth. Teejay is also making his Malayalam debut in Vilayath Buddha, playing the antagonist opposite Prithviraj.
