Seasoned Apple industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max are going to come with a so-called stacked camera design that beats what we’re going to see in this year’s models – especially in terms of low light capture.
Display
The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display, an increase from the 6.1-inch display of the iPhone 15 Pro. It will reportedly feature a 6.9-inch display, an increase from the 6.7-inch display of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Design Prototypes
Apple created three prototypes for the iPhone 16 design, each with slightly different features. In all three, there’s a vertically aligned camera, which will likely allow for the recording of spatial video for the Vision Pro headset.
One design had a pill-shaped iPhone X-style camera, while the other two had designs with two distinct lenses. Another of the designs included haptic buttons with a unified volume button, and the third has the two-lens camera, standard mechanical volume buttons, an Action Button, and a new Capture Button
We are expecting the third design, which is the phone in black in the images, to be the one that Apple chooses. There will be a vertically aligned rear camera, a second “Capture” button on the right side for taking video, and a left-side mmWave antenna in the United States that’s below the Action Button.
Storage
Apple has been offering up to 1 TB of storage on the Pro iPhones for a while now, and starting with the iPhone 16, the company is expected to offer up to 2 TB of storage, at least on the pro models, suggests a report from DigiTimes.
