Following the success of ‘Leo’, Vijay is now collaborating with director Venkat Prabhu for his 68th film titled ‘GOAT’ (Greatest of All Time). The film, known for its entertaining elements, began shooting last November and is currently underway in Pondicherry. A video of Vijay interacting with fans from the sets of ‘GOAT’ in Pondicherry has gone viral on social media.
In the video, Vijay can be seen waving to fans from the terrace of a house where the shooting is taking place, generating significant buzz online. After completing the Pondicherry schedule, the ‘GOAT’ team is set to shoot in Sri Lanka, with the film expected to wrap up by April. The multistarrer features Vijay alongside Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Sneha, Prabhu Deva, Laila, Ajmal, Jayaram, Parvathi Nair, VTV Ganesh, Premji, and Vaibhav, among others. The film’s music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Vijay, who recently launched his political party, ‘Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam’, is reportedly planning to retire from acting after ‘GOAT’, with ‘Thalapathy 69’ potentially being his final film. Director Lokesh Kanagraj, who directed ‘Leo’, has expressed his intentions to make ‘Leo 2’ with Vijay, which could be completed without delay if Vijay agrees.
